One batch (6000 pieces) of vine seedlings imported from France to the Republic of Armenia was sent back from the border.
In the result of the sampling and laboratory testing implemented by the State Service for Food Safety of MOA, RA (hereinafter Service) it was found out that the seedlings were infected with Phylloxera, at the same time mites, two different types of nematodes were found on the seedlings. It was mentioned in the accompanying documents that the seedlings had been grown in Phylloxera-free zone, and there was not existence of any harmful organism.
Given that the quarantine phytosanitary condition of the consignment does not comply with the information mentioned in accompanying documents, as well as does not comply with the quarantine phytosanitary import requirements of RA the Service has banned the import of the mentioned consignment.
