The import of live birds (all types), poultry, raw materials (feathers, fluff), table and incubation eggs, meat and bone meal, feed, additional feed (excluding additional feed containing synthetic and chemical materials), polymeric and cardboard boxes and pads from 16 states of the USA to the Republic of Armenia was forbidden by the order of 29 May, 2015 of the Head of the State Service for Food Safety of MOA, RA (hereinafter Service) until the cancellation of quarantine for preventing the entry of highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N2, H5N8 type) to the Republic of Armenia.
Based on the information on the elimination of the disease published on the official website of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) the import ban was lifted by the order of 3 November, 2015 of the Head of the Service from US Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin states.
It should be noted that on 30 July, 2015 the poultry import ban from US Arkansas, California, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington states had been lifted.
