Joint inspections are currently being carried out in the Kyrgyz Republic by the representatives of the authorized bodies of the veterinary field of Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter EEU) member states – Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
On 16-27 February, 2015, 18 specialists from Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter EEC) and the above mentioned four countries carry out joint inspections in veterinary and phytosanitary fields of the Kyrgyz Republic in 5 directions. They are inspecting the organizations which plan to export meat and meat products, assess the veterinary-epidemiological risks and the efficiency against the combating or prevention thereof, are examining the laboratory work and technical capacity in border control points as well as the process of the control of veterinary drugs.
During the visit the representatives of the authorized bodies of the veterinary field of the EEC and the EEU member states held a few meetings and discussed the issue of the harmonization of standards in the veterinary field. The delegates also met Joomart Otorbaev, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and discussed the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the EEU. He thanked the representatives of the governments, institutions and experts of the EEU member states as well as the EEC for professional and consistent support on the way to the EEU accession of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The specialists from Russia, Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will continue joint inspections until 27 February.
