On 29 September, Armen Airapetyan, the Head of the State Service for Food Safety of MOA, RA (hereinafter Service) met business operators producing meat products registered in the Registry of organizations and individuals engaged in introduction, processing or storage of commodities subject to control (hereinafter Registry of EEU organizations) that are imported from one EEU member state to another EEU member state to discuss the new possibility of exporting meat products to Russia, to organize the procedure correctly and to clarify the issues for implementing the export without any obstacles.
Armen Airapetyan expressed his willingness to support business operators mentioning that they need to cooperate with the specialists of the Service and to consult on the procedures of documentation and certificates as well other issues before the commodity will be in the border for smoothing the process of the export.
For this purpose a professional group will operate in the Service to support business operators and to response their questions quickly. During the meeting the issue of safety and quality of products was highlighted as well as it was suggested to operate actively in the field of meat producers to present Armenian brand in the Russian market in a best way.
Business operators highly appreciated the efforts of the Service during the last year of expanding the list of exported meat products in the result of which it is possible to realize more products in the Russian market. The representatives of the Service answered all the questions of the business operators, clarified the list of the products subject to export.
