haccp-1Under the framework of Technical Assistance to Support Food Safety System in Armenia project funded by USDA, CARD in collaboration with the Louisiana State University conducted “HACCP Audit” training on March 30 – April 3, 2015. The purpose of the training was to facilitate reform of government food regula¬tory statutes, support enforcement of new regulations and build capacity of SSFS inspectors.

Inspectors from SSFS as well as representatives from the industry participated in the training. The theory part of the training was followed by a practical session at “Dustr Melanya” diary plant, where LSU HACCP specialist Dr. Kenneth McMillin demonstrated SFSS students on how to conduct an actual HACCP Audit.
