Contaminated eggs with incomplete labeling have been detected

On 17 February, 2015 by the Order of the Head of the State Service for Food Safety of MOA of RA (hereinafter Service) the inspectors of the staff of the Service have implemented a monitoring in the supermarket “Yerevan City” (24/7 H. Hovhannisyan str.) belonging to “ALEX GRIG” LTD. In the result of the monitoring contaminated eggs (34 pcs.) with incomplete labeling have been detected.

Detected foodstuff has been removed immediately from sale and destroyed.

Recently alert was received from the “Informed and protected consumers” NGO regarding contaminated eggs with false labeling.

The Service expresses its gratitude to “Informed and protected consumers” NGO for its consistency, high attention to consumers’ interests and objectives and notifications on violations. The role of public supervision is much important in this field, which needs daily attention. Thus, cooperation and complementarity with public institutions are very important in achieving desired result.
