flag-arm-rusDuring his working visit to Russian Federation on November 17, Armen Ayrapetyan, the Head of the State Service for Food Safety of the Ministry of Agriculture of RA (hereinafter Service) met Sergey Dankvert, the Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor). During the meeting the parties discussed the results of the works of Armenian companies carried out for the compliance with EEU requirements. Rosselkhoznadzor highly appreciated the steps and efforts carried out for this purpose by the Service during 2015. Armen Ayrapetyan assured that those works will be ongoing.

Based on the above mentioned, it was emphasized that the Armenian companies, which are assessed by the Service as complying with EEU requirements and norms, can export their products to Russian Federation.

The parties also discussed the certification issue of animal origin products subject to control imported from the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation, as well as transportation full traceability of the products of this subgroup between EEU member states. For this purpose Rosselkhoznadzor suggested the use of Russian information systems, Mercury and Argus, that can solve the problem, becoming unified information system for EEU countries.
