The State Service for Food Safety (hereinafter referred as the Service) banned the import of sea salt (408 kg) to the territory of the Republic of Armenia by the reason of non-compliances with food safety indicators.
During the border control of the consignment and accompanying documents by the Service it was found out that the consignment exported from Italy by “Andako” LTD does not comply with the requirements of the Decision № 902 of RA Government of 31 December 2000 (non-iodized).
Taking into account the above mentioned, the Service banned the import of the consignment to the Republic of Armenia. The business operator was recommended to utilize, destroy or re-export the consignment.
