Fruits and vegetables imported from Turkey and Pakistan will be subjected to mandatory laboratory examination from 1 April

According to the assignment of Armen Ayrapetyan, the Head of the State Service for Food Safety of MOA, RA fruits and vegetables imported from the Republic of Turkey and Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Armenia will be subjected to laboratory examination from 1 April, 2015 defined by RA Government decision 1237-N of 30 October, 2014 to evaluate the compliance with common sanitary-epidemiological and hygienic requirements for the products subject to sanitary-epidemiological control.

According to the assignment fresh and fresh frozen fruits and vegetables imported from the Republic of Turkey and Islamic Republic of Pakistan, except for phytosanitary control, will be subjected to laboratory examination for toxic compounds, nitrates and pesticides. In case of noncompliance the import of loads to the Republic of Armenia will be banned.
